You Can Hate Me Later on

Say not your trust I broke,
I failed to prove my innocence,
I did nothing and yet to console,
Shed dirty tears of repentance,

That water too from my eyes,
Must appear to you of cunning,
Hold me please, give me rest,
My heart is now tired of running,

I cheated not, never betrayed,
But was just a game for time to play,
Still clarifying, still pleading,
Knowing you won’t believe, anyway,

Preserve your complaints galore,
I may die, but you will breathe more,
Smile at me, at least a fake one,
Forgive me for leaving your heart sore,

Love like before you have never done,
We have this moment, and then you’re gone,
Hurt me, beloved, with your love,
You can then hate me later on.
