The Din in My Heart

I am mad in love,
I was fooled in love,
But I am helpless; I was schooled in love,

I agree a thousand mistakes were mine,
But tell me dear, wasn’t even one thine?
Why do we let misunderstandings?
Bloom between us?
Why did we let rumors
Of others ruin us?

What threads of emotions,
Firmly am I bound by?
I can’t afford to break them,
As hard as I may try,

Who am I telling this all?
I know dear, you don’t believe,
I ask God, Oh quiet please,
This unwanted din in my heart.
