THE ESSENCE OF SIMPLICITY

I told her how vital she was
For the continuation of my
Wretched life,
I told her how beautiful
The days and nights will be,
How blessed a life!

Gave all sobriquets, tried to hold back,
‘My dear, my beloved, come back.’
She shrugged me off,
Shrugged off all memories,

I told her this, I told her that,
I emptied all words, all I had,
But to avail nothing,
And she silenced me, forever,
With few simple words,
‘Get out of my life. I need you not.
I do not feel the magic.
It is someone else that I love.’
