MURDERERS OF LOVE

In the graveyard of Emotions,
A chaos sifted through the silence,
Peace crying noisily by a stone,
Smiling behind a tree sits Violence,

Passion lay distraught, along with Pain,
Unexpected was Love’s funeral,
Hope had predicted for it a long life,
But shame was sure of Death’s early call,

Prayer said a few words in honor,
And announced its end too was near,
Said, Peace and Trust have to resign,
Their post now rests with Fear,

Who killed Love? Was the question,
But the whole town was without a clue,

Distrust and deception wickedly smiled,
Thinking of the night the sky was blue,

The night that Love left its door open,
These goons of hatred came to attack,
One throttled Love’s neck from front,
The other stabbed a rapier in the back.
